Description
This image was taken next to the rest area on I-80 near Donner Pass in CA. I used a narrow aperture and partially hid the moon behind the tree to create the starburst effect. I used my headlamp to light paint the rocks in the foreground. To the right of the moon, the bright star is actually Jupiter which has a bit of a starburst itself. In between the two you can make out Saturn. The wisp of smoke winding its way up to the moon was purely accidental, I didn't even see it until I looked at the image on my LCD screen.
